Guestbook

Y Beudy was the perfect place to stay for our Easter getaway to North Wales. The space was cosy and yet generous, nestled in amongst idyllic rural countryside. It was absolutely spotless: one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. Very well equipped, and Katie was an impeccable host, going above and beyond in providing us with detailed information about the cottage, check-in process and things to do.

It was a perfect base to explore North Wales and our only regret was that we weren't there for longer given how much there is to do. We hiked incredible mountains in Eryri national park, cycled along the stunning Mawddach trail down to Barmouth, had a delicious sunday lunch in George III pub on route (possibly Wales' best pub), and headed to Lake Vrynwy hotel for a much needed spa session after all of the activity. Y Beudy was the perfect location to do all of these things and an ideal retreat at the end of the day. Thank you Katie and family!

Tom & Sarah,

Fabulous stay at this stunning property. The house was very clean and well presented, there was plenty of room in the property & you would be hard pushed to find anything to fault. We were a group of 3 & a small dog & we genuinely fell in love with the property. Katie left us to our own devices after fetching us a pint of milk. There was tea, coffee, sugar, welshcakes, fruit loaf & milk so we could relax as soon as we arrived. The beds were comfortable & so we're the sofas. There was a lovely garden at the rear & we hardly saw Katie or her husband even though they were over the yard. We went to escape the fireworks as our dog is not a fan & this place is a true rural retreat. If you want peace & quiet in a stunning valley then this is the perfect place.

Sally,

We had an absolutely brilliant stay at Katie’s place. We had a dog and a toddler and the house was so convenient for both of them as it had a large garden for both of them to run around and Katie had everything required for the baby including high chair, nappy changing mat and collapsible baby crib. The house was in the middle of greenery and lot of farmland and made Wales look so beautiful than the regular touristy spots. Katie also provided great recommendations and was always available for any questions we had. Overall our one week went by too quick and we enjoyed every minute of our stay in Wales. Thanks Katie for little welcome cakes and milk and being considerate about everything a family needs.

Archana,

Fantastic stay in a stunning location.
The cottage was spotless and had everything that we could need and more provided. Loved the games in the living room.
Very peaceful setting. Great river at the bottom of the garden.
Katie was super friendly and had great recommendations.
A wonderful stay, could not ask for more.

Steph,

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cosy converted barn. It’s was immaculately clean and had everything we needed to make our holiday enjoyable. Katie Thad thought of all the little extra things you might need for your stay including a lovely welcome pack. We will definitely stay here again.

Elsa,

Beautiful countryside location and Katie and her family made us very welcome on arrival. The accommodation is stunning and feels very private, but handy to know the hosts are nearby if needed. Great walks from the property so no need to drive anywhere unless you want to explore the wider area. Ideal place for cyclists. Would recommend a trip to Llyn Brenig to see the ospreys if visiting at the right time of year, though also has fishing and water sports there and a lovely cafe overlooking the reservoir. Definitely plan to return for another relaxing break!

Jackie,

As a family we absolutely loved staying in ‘Y Beudy’ and would totally recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful rural valley, but still accessible to tourist spots of Snowdonia. The barn is decked out to a very high spec and has everything one needs, especially for a young family with a dog. The private garden is tranquil watching the sheep and cows in the surrounding fields. The location is a total escape, with stunning views and fabulous walks on the doorstep. The hosts couldn't be more welcoming and close by if you need anything. Thank you for a great stay and we look forward to returning.

Jess,

We had a wonderful week in North Wales. Would recommend Bounce Below for guests with young children (especially if it’s raining) and Betws-y-Coed for visiting Swallow Falls, pub lunch and a lovely walk. Y Beudy was a great base for our first trip to the area and our children loved seeing the wildlife and farm animals on local walks.

Natalie,

Brilliant place to stay. Clean and we-presented accommodation with everything we needed. Beautiful surroundings and lots of great day trips a short drive away. Hope to visit again.
